Black Friday

May I rant, just a little?

What is the matter with people?

Just asking, after the local news reported a Black Friday casualty -- a woman getting run over this morning during the mad rush to get into one of the big box stores.

And, as long as I'm ranting...what's up with advertisers using sacred Christmas music for their television commercials? The other day I heard some tacky advertising shill set to the tune of "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing" -- bleah! Enough!

Ugh, rant away! That's why DH and I stayed indoors all day today. It's crazy out there!

Oh man...hadn't heard this. :-( How awful. And I could nto agree more on the sacred music as advertixing....bleeech! The Hallelujah Chorus seems to be okay for ANYTHING. Makes me angry. And are those your hands playing the organ above?

My wife went to what we call the Mennonite Strip mall. a store each for used furniture, used clothing, and used housewares. Plus a bookstore and a 10,000 Villages (wares from around the world the makers of which get a fair deal from the Mennonites). all stores in the same strip, all run by Mennonites... she survived for even though a bit crowded it was not crazed.

Hate, hate, hate getting in a mall when it is crowded. Don't even get me started on why the people are there.
