You Heard It Here First

We're having a commuters' potluck at church tomorrow, after our quarterly congregational meeting.

I am bringing...fruit.

Not fruit embedded in Jello and pudding, with Redi-Whip and walnuts on top. Not fruit baked into strudel or pie or cake. Not candied fruit. Not fruit served with marshmallow whip/sour cream/cream cheese dip.

Just fruit. Tangerines...bananas...Gala apples...red grapes.

I am bringing just fruit to a Lutheran potluck.

Has this ever been done before?

A *Lutheran* Potluck?

Perhaps just once since Jesus was born...LOL

I bet there are still some people who are working on their NY resolutions to eat healthier.

Who knows? You may begin a trend.... :)

I don't know, they may ask you to turn in your card. (grin).

Heresy! Next thing you know you'll be serving tea instead of coffee... and we all know where that leads, skism and Anglicanism!
Peace,
Chris

From The Book of Marymartha 2:16

" Whensoever thou shalt bringeth offerings unto the potluck, take care that thine offerings are full of fat and sugar so that those who dine upon them shall increase. Those who do not heed this warning will suffer murmurings, discontent and left-over offerings."

Woe, LC!!!

Fruit that isn't surrounded by jello at a Lutheran gathering? I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure you can get ex-communicated for that if I remember right...
