More Light

This evening, for the first time in many days, I made a tentative trip around the blog neighborhood...not too many; just enough to get out of my own head for awhile. And it helped a lot. Many thoughtful, skillful writers out there. (THANK YOU, bloggers.)

I find myself longing to be at a place where I can start writing about something other than my current, overwhelming life drama. I'm not there yet, but I think I will be soon.

Thanks for stopping by, LC. I'm glad Portia's little satire brought you a chuckle and got you to join in the puns.

Still holding you in prayer.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother. My heart aches for you. Bless you in every way.

May you be surrounded by the best of friends who say and do all the right things.

And if all you write about for a while is your "life drama", then so be it. Your drama is ours as well. Not only are you our sister in Christ, but we all either have gone through or will go through the loss of a parent. If you need to let things bubble over out here, then let them. If this becomes a valuable place for you to process, let it be. As we used to say in the 60's - "Don't push the river; it flows by itself."

Indeed...as your friends, we rather need to know about how YOU are, you know! So write as much or as little of whatever you feel up to...or be silent if that feels best. Come what may, we're here, we care and we're praying.
Much love xxx

I think the best thing about this amazing blog-hood is the fact that you can visit some random blog about somebody's personal life and discovered that million miles away, someone is experiencing your battles, too. Misery loves company, remember?

Being personal also means you're truthful and honesty is one cool thing...

I am late to all of this. I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.

Be good to yourself.

Hey, LC... all I can suggest is that you not edit yourself. Write what feels right.

I continue to hold you in my prayers.

Dear LC-

I have been on a blogging hiatus for the last few weeks. Mundane things like taxes and my daughter's french homework have gotten in my way.

I was so sorry to hear of your mother's death. I pray that as you redesign your daily routines that the Lord will bring you comfort and light in a variety of unexpected ways.

Peace!
