In so many ways it is a relief to know that I am, like everyone else, a beggar. One of the horrible burdens of rigid belief -- on whatever end of the spectrum it is found -- is that it demands some impossible ideal of rule-adhered perfection of others and of self, ideals that cannot be ever attained and sustained. The days that work best for my spirit are the ones in which I accept that I will screw up in some way, but that my intention will be as pristine as possible. I know there is that old saying about "The road to hell" being paved with good intentions -- but I think that's wrong. I think it is the Road to the Kingdom. Thanks for another great post.
Oh foo..I posted this on the wrong entry. Although it is great that assisting felyt good...
Please just read this in the direction of your post which preceded it. (And I am laughing now about intentions and screwing up -- see what I mean???) LOL
