We certainly are blessed w/ fall color, here in Michigan. :-)
[Now, as I keep saying to native 'ganders: if only we could get some mountains in this them thar state! Picture this, LC: right around the curiously-named [considering the flatness] "Mount Pleasant", smack dab in the middle of the state, a 10,000+ foot volcano Fuji-like rises. Wouldn't that be Just Awesome?! ;-p]
Sheryl: But do you miss chipping 1/2-inch-think ice off your windshield? [grin]
Cathy, I suspect that you will have botanicals to blog long after the trees are bare here.
J.C.: Isn't it a hoot that what must be the absolute flattest place in Michigan is named Mt. Pleasant? LOL I'm trying to imagine the volcano...there's some boring wasteland east of the casino that could use a volcano.;-) (No molten lava near my food coop, though -- we loves our food coop, yes, we does!)
BTW, the countryside west of Mount Pleasant, on the way to Big Rapids, has some excellent color in the fall. Sigh. I'd like to be trekking there right this minute, headed to the apple orchard there on M-20, but instead I'm washing outside windows. Sigh.

[sigh] I miss trees that change colors.
I really love your botanical bloggings. I might just have to be a copycat sometimes :)
Such peaceful pictures. Thanks for sharing.
