And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens: 'I know your works." Rev. 3:7-8
I haven't had many "aha" moments with the Daily Office readings in the last week, as is obvious by my paucity of posts here, but...it just occurred to me that this statement, taken on its own and individualized, could either be very comforting -- You know me! You know my works! -- or very frightening.
