Ignernt an' Proud of It

A snapshot of race relations in rural America.

Sounds like the diner-counter conversations in Outer Podunk, sadly.

What in hell is wrong with people?

Ambridge is probably the ultimate example of the sterotypical, ethnic, working class Western PA town (it is the town that the town in the movie "All the Right Moves" was based on, if you saw it). As such, race is a factor in the upcoming election. As a former Pittsburgher, it pains me to say that, but racism is alive and well throughout that region.

Of course, I live in the deep South now, where racism is not only alive and well, it is overt, and still, in some cases, institutional.
