Meet a Few Other LutheranChiks

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the Peep is heard in our land. Posted by Hello

Okay, so how do you like your Peeps? Fresh or "aged"?

Oh, definitely fresh. "Aged" Peeps are too much like foam insulation. (Maybe they are foam insulation...hard to tell with all that sugar on the outside.)

Ever microwave a Peep?

I ate some blue Peeps this year. I think actually they were "Cheeps" or some other inferior brand. But now that I think back, as a matter of fact, I'm pretty they were bunnies.

It's just not the holidays without brightly-colored sugar-coated marshmallow treats extruded into the shape of cute barnyard animals, I always say....

(They were definitely bunnies. I remember now, because I ripped off their long blue ears each time and tossed them to the dog, who caught them nicely in mid-air and chewed them happily.

And now that I've brought the thread to its knees, I depart... ;-)

I've never microwaved a peep before. What can you tell us about the experience? (I've got a big grin on my face just trying to imagine this...)

I almost posted a photo of myself digging into a post-Lenten pint of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food...but the scene was just too frightening for public viewing.;-)

Now, Dash, where's your sense of empirical adventure? Got Peeps? Got a microwave? Get out a pencil and paper for your lab notes, and have at it.;-) (Helpful hint: Nuke 'em in increments -- don't set the microwave for, like, 5 minutes.)
