O The Horror!

Halloween wouldn't be Halloween without terrified Real Christians[tm] whimpering about Satan and his demonic minions lurking under every rock and behind every curtain. Evidently, according to the frequently amusing blog Stuff Christian Culture Likes, Harry Potter is still on the fundie short list of Tools o' the Devil.

If that's not frightening enough...turns out that we Lutherans are also in league with Satan.

I know; making fun of Real Christians[tm] is too easy, and not scary unless it's Election Day.

But here is something really, really frightening, especially if you possess a Y chromosome or an unsteady hand.

Hope you had a fun Halloween. Go ahead -- eat the rest of the chocolate.

Thank you for your blog. I read it often and feel that I benefit from your posts on spirituality, current issues, and the other thought-provoking topics you offer--even today's humor. After all, "A cheerful heart is good medicine." (Acts 17:22) Happy Halloween.

One of my real life friends is also an FB friend. Every week she writes about how wonderful it is to keep the Sabbath (She's a 7th Day adventist.) She even sent me a book about how Jesus didn't do away with the commandment to keep the Sabbath. And every week I think to myself: who is she trying to convince?

So this week she ALSO went on and on about how bad Halloween is.

I do wonder if people who are so afraid of Halloween, et al, haven't quite grasped that we are saved and don't have to worry about being polluted. Yikes.

PS, thank you for your last paragraph! I've been wondering that for a good while now!

As for the article about Lutherans being in cahoots with Satan...that article is so ridiculous it's funny; or it would be, if there weren't people who actually believe that way. Now it's just scary.

LOL love the 'gadget'!
