Is LutheranChik Live, Or Is She Memorex?

My corporeal existence (of which there is -- ahem -- much) can now be vouched for by one fellow bloglodyte.

J. Collins Fisher and I had an enjoyable meet-up in Okemos, in the metro Lansing area, at Traveler's Club , a funky little restaurant that boasts its very own Tuba Museum and a tuba fountain. (And, for a few hours, the spiritually uplifting, intellectually challenging and visually stunning presence of two bitchin' bloggers holding forth on the patio.)

Thanks, J.C., for the pepper (being steamed, as we speak, with zucchini, crookneck squash, garlic, onions and red bell pepper for supper) and the good conversation.

For all the internet horror stories you hear, I have yet to meet up (with someone I got to know online) with an ax murderer yet. ;-)

Yes, folks: LC is as nice in-person, as she seems online! :-D (I think I'm slightly less obnoxious in-person: wouldn't you agree, LC? *g* Thanks for listening to all my whining!)

Nice...she thinks I'm nice...little does she know I recently told an online fundamentalist antagonist that his theology was, quote, "a stinking, fly-infested load of grace-less, legalistic, works-righteousness bullshit." Lord, make me good, but not yet...

J.C. is not obnoxious one bit. But she is a fellow chatty introvert. It isn't an oxymoron; we just need to be in the right company.;-)

Glad you find my blog...and I yours. We need more high church type Lutherans.

I really want to read that Braaten book you referenced.

Ignore the previous comment's bad grammar. I am too lazy to edit...

It's not Braaten...it's a Finnish theologian named Manemaa (sp? -- pardon my Finnish): Christ Present in Faith.

I just wanted to add...seeing as our state is desperately trying to persuade the rest of the world that it doesn't suck, and actually has a "Cool Cities" initiative to this end, I'd like it noted on the record that I frequently use my blog to spotlight cool places in Michigan. I am being a good citizen; I am demonstrating pride of place.

Me, not obnoxious? Oh lawdy: you've yet to hear the consensus about me on Thinking Anglicans! (I actually received a moderation notice yesterday from dear Simon Sarmiento: seems I'd crossed an ad hominem line even he had noticed!)

Re "chatty": all a cover for the introvert anxiety, hon. ;-/ Just glad your ears (and sanity) survived it!
