My Cross to Bear
This is the cross I wear every day...got it from silversmith Alice Landis at an art fair many years ago. When I went through what I like to call my theological tantrum in my mid-30's, and divested my life of all things Christian, this cross somehow managed to survive, tangled in the flotsam and jetsam at the bottom of my jewelry box. When I was again "clothed and in my right mind," I was happy to find it there. So we have a history. And my cross is a little bit like me -- tarnished and rough around the edges, lost for awhile and found again.
