And although I visit much less frequently than I used to, there's the Dimples Donuts shop ladies.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10838182.post-59714864367830754732009-05-15T20:09:00.000-07:002009-05-15T20:09:00.000-07:00Is Gertie on Dogbook? Is Gertie on Dogbook?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08235049965406944684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10838182.post-66367076284024152952009-05-15T19:24:00.000-07:002009-05-15T19:24:00.000-07:00I really like that last category of friends. You sound like you have a more diverse group of business friends than I do because of the food, but since I live in a tiny town and mostly shop here, I appreciate the small town merchants and I'm sure that they at least appreciate my wallet. Only 620 people officially in this little burg. But we get by because of "The Lake" nearby. Just barely getting by this year, it looks like.LoieJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01977264499770654307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10838182.post-74019768150943884222009-05-15T19:18:00.000-07:002009-05-15T19:18:00.000-07:00i actually like the marketplace friend category. ...i actually like the marketplace friend category. I'm having trouble typing for very long, but I'd love to tell about Marv and Dawn and Homestead Pickin' Parlor. Also Augie from the grocery store, although he's also a church friend.Diane M. And he's right -- it makes us old folks get down on our hands and knees to retrieve it.Auntie Knickershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08854138665883068803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10838182.post-67164056881818136472009-05-15T16:20:00.000-07:002009-05-15T16:20:00.000-07:00I like the idea of marketplace friends. Sad to say, my husband and I went to our 40th high school reunion last year--and none of our earlier friends attended. It was disappointing.Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08061517211101084120noreply@blogger.com
