Many folks we know are maintaining a strong Biblical faith in God, but rejecting "church" as a human artifice ("restraint" as you suggest). This is an interesting conversation for church and non-church folks to have in these times.jillhttp://www.bakersgreenacres.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10838182.post-52622618060375755162010-03-12T17:24:28.923-08:002010-03-12T17:24:28.923-08:00Interesting post LC. An important component but can become limiting and inward looking in worst case scenario.Mavishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10742184738139404524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10838182.post-85059223743751375772010-03-12T14:22:48.627-08:002010-03-12T14:22:48.627-08:00You really use clean language for this and help me...You really use clean language for this and help me understand something I didn't. When I think about the bigger ideas of religion and the smaller, more intimate being Spiritual, I get it better. DBB says, quoting I think Cantwell from 1962, that religion in its original use meant "an experience of awe"...in otherwords what was once religion is now spirituality...because religion has become sytematized in to "beliefs"...

thank you for your great reflection here!Terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15667178624061122421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10838182.post-79025455722148353822010-03-12T10:30:26.252-08:002010-03-12T10:30:26.252-08:00Very thoughtful.
